Two Northamptonshire Astronomers - a talk by Mike Frost
The story of two Northamptonshire Astronomers. John Twysden, a doctor, fled to Easton Maudit during the Civil War. John Palmer was the rector of Ecton, a small village to the east of Northampton. The two astronomers carried out a series of observations from Northamptonshire during the mid-seventeenth century, including the great comet of 1652, and early observations of Mira.
